Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound Therapy is a non-invasive method of treatment that uses mechanical energy by transmitting sound waves into the area of treatment. Ultrasound helps with pain relief and facilitates healing. It breaks down scar tissue and increases blood flow.

3

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy aka "hands-on" therapy is a treatment method performed by manipulating muscles and joints just with our hands. This specialized method has been commonly used by many wellness professionals as a way to relieve pain, reduce restrictions and swelling, improve range of motion, and increase tissue extensibility.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy may sound intimidating and scary, however, it is a safe and effective treatment method that provides pain relief and recovery to many different conditions. Electrotherapy devices utilize electrodes that are placed on the treatment area. These electrodes send electricity into the area to interact with sensory and/or motor nerves which cause various therapeutic effects such as the Gate Control Theory which overides pain sensation.

Other Tools

Other tools such as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) or cupping are other treatment methods that are used at Peak Peformance Therapy to help treat various conditions. Most manual therapy are done with our hands, but other instruments can be beneficial as well. IASTM can effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions in our body. Cupping has been used to promote blood circulation and stretch fascia around the treatment area.

Titleist Performance Institute Certification

Golf is more fun when it is played pain-free. The TPI's assessment identifies your body's physical limitations and how they correlate with your swing. It focuses on the body's physical limitations, reducing golf injuries, increasing performance, and correcting mechanics. Through a series of physical tests that evaluates your strength, flexibility, stability and mobility, we can provide recommendations to help lower the chance on injuries and maximize your physical advantage.
