Athletic Therapists specialize in acute and chronic conditions related to muscles, bones, ligaments, and tendons. Athletic therapists offer treatment to a broad population base such as competitive athletes, recreational players, individuals with work or automobile-related injuries, as well as anyone else suffering from a muscle, bone, or joint injury. We work with you to treat your injury, restore function, and provide education to help prevent injury recurrence in the future.

Meet Joash Boh

Joash is a Certified Athletic Therapist who graduated from the University of Manitoba, Canada in 2020 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Athletic Therapy. He was the head student therapist for the Bison’s Women Soccer and Swimming Teams concurrently where he attended to the athletes’ preparation and injuries during events, practices, and games. He also attended to them during their rehabilitation process at the Bison clinic.

 

He had worked with patients from different backgrounds such as Olympians, high-level and amateur athletes, and the general public through his work experience and clinical placements in high-performance centers, multidisciplinary clinics, and various sport teams.

Joash is experienced in acute and chronic injury management. He uses different therapeutic skills that include exercise prescription, manual therapy, and other therapeutic modalities to facilitate recovery, performance, and function. He enjoys educating others about the body, emphasizing on active rehabilitation and exercise.

Joash’s interest in Athletic Therapy came after sustaining multiple sports injuries resulting to surgeries and physical rehabilitation. Through first-hand experience, he learned that the road to recovery can be a long and dreadful process. Because of this, he realized the importance of complete rehabilitation. He wants to share and use what he learned to enable others to return to their day-to-day activities and sports, pain-free.
